The only change in the 4A rankings this week involves the top two spots as Valor Christian moves to the top following a Pueblo West loss to Pueblo South last week.  West loses just one spot to second and the rest of the poll is identical to last Sunday.

RANKINGS

#1 Valor Christian (17-4)
#2 Pueblo West (19-2)
#3 Sierra (19-3)
#4 Lewis Palmer (17-4)
#5 Holy Family (17-4)
#6 Mead (18-3)
#7 Sand Creek (17-4)
#8 D’Evelyn (17-4)
#9 Golden (17-4)
#10 Northridge (17-3)
TEAMS TO WATCH:  Mesa Ridge (15-6), Widefield (15-6), Evergreen (15-6), Silver Creek (18-3), Durango (17-3), Pueblo South (15-6), Vista Peak (16-4)
NOTES:  Both Valor Christian and Pueblo West were involved in a tight conference battle last week with the Eagles edging Evergreen 54-53 and the Cyclones falling to Pueblo South 67-64.  Those results changed the top two spots in the rankings this week.  The remaining eight teams went a combined 17-0 last week so they stay in the same order.  There’s also good depth in the division as teams such as Silver Creek, Pueblo South, Vista Peak, Durango and Evergreen could easily be placed in the poll as well.  The most important game remaining is Tuesday between Mead and Holy Family.  The teams are a combined 23-1 in the Tri Valley with the Tigers taking game one.  Sand Creek also has a nice test with Vista Ridge on Friday.  Sand Creek trails Vista Ridge by two games and likely won’t catch the Wolves but a win opens the door for Lewis Palmer to earn a share of the Pikes Peak title.  Durango also needs to win out including a win over Grand Junction in the Saturday finale to earn at least a share of the SWL crown.
